Happy Sweet 16 Josie!

My sweet niece Josie turned 16 last month. She requested a white, yellow and black cake. She wanted polka dots or something similar, but she was definitely sure she wanted fondant. Her invitation theme had daisies so I decided to make her a daisy cake. This has been my biggest cake yet, I had never used dowels until this one came along. It was hard work but so worth the look on her face when she saw it.

In production...

 I sprinkled opalescent disco dust on it to give it shimmer.

 My sis-in-law made the cupcakes, they were perfect together!

 Top tier was strawberry.

 Middle tier was chocolate with chocolate ganache between layers.

 Bottom layer was funfetti, her favorite flavor...
