Nobody ever told me throwing a child's birthday party would EVER be sooooo TIRING! I took off work Thursday and Friday to get everything ready for a Saturday birthday party. You might think, "What? 2 days to get ready for a little party?" Well, I needed it, and I STILL didn't have a chance to decorate the room we rented, so YES, it took me 2 and a half days! Whew! All I can say now is, I NEED A DRINK. Thankfully, this Sunday has been spent relaxing with my 2 favorite guys, hubby and baby, blowing bubbles, eating chocolate fudge Goldfish cookies, and trying out the new t-ball toy, among other new toys. No recipe in this post, just Elmo, cake, balloons, and more Elmo. Happy Sunday everyone!
Below are marshmallows in the making! I didn't get permission to post the recipe, but
HERE is the link to the wonderful
Sweetapolita's site where you can get it. They were so easy to make and just so fun! I personally can't wait to try different flavors and lighter colors. The white powdery confectioner's sugar and cornstarch were a little hard to dust off what were supposed to be bright red marshmallows. Next time I will do either white or pastels.
Bunches of Elmos!
Cake in progress!
The nose was put on once were at the rented room. I didn't want it to fall off in transit!
Annnnnd we have a nose!
Balloons EVERYWHERE...
Dorothy in her fishbowl!
Would you please do my next party please? Those Elmo's are out of this world! Like crazy adorable! The cake? Fantastic. Your little man is very lucky to have such a talented Mama! XO
