Strawberry Banana "Ice Cream"

Okay guys, not EVERYTHING I make is crazy sweet and bad for you! And not everything I make is baked... ;) My poor child was asking for "ice cream, ice cream" though I don't know where he would get the idea since I have purchased ice cream maybe ONCE in the last year? Anyway, I had several frozen bananas in the freezer and a bag of frozen strawberries so I figured I would make him a frozen treat! I have not tried this in a blender so I am not sure how it would work, but I have a food processor and that does the job. I tested it before purchasing a "Yonanas" machine and I am SO glad I didn't have to spend the money when my food processor will do the job just fine! If you make it in a blender successfully, please let me know how it worked out for you!

Ingredients:
Makes 2 servings
2 regular sized bananas, frozen but thawed slightly (thaw on counter for about 10-15 minutes)
1 cup of frozen strawberries (also thawed for about 10-15 minutes)
Garnish of fresh strawberries is optional

How to make:
Place the shredding disc in your food processor to start out. It helps break the fruit down to where it will "cream" easier once you put your chopping blade in. It makes it easier if you break your bananas in half and put them into the chute, getting it down with the pusher. When you are done, your fruit should look like this:

After shredding your fruit, remove the disc and clean your top off to get those pesky leftover pieces into your processor. Move the fruit around to where you can easily put in your chopping blade, and turn that sucker on for a few minutes, usually about 3 does the trick. You may have to take the top off and scrape the sides with a spatula a few times. Then the fruit will magically become ICE CREAM!

Scoop it into a fancy schmancy martini glass like mine and ENJOY! I have made this with bananas and a cup of frozen blueberries, cherries, and mango, the possibilities are endless!
